Mental Health Partners (MHP) is proud to support its Broomfield and Lafayette Clinics Program Manager, Susan Bellas, as she participates in the 10th Annual Dancing with the Broomfield Stars on Thursday, September 26th at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield. This annual event supports the grant-making programs of the Broomfield Community Foundation.

This year, the “Stars” are representatives from nine nonprofits, including Mental Health Partners, who are paired with local professional dance instructors to raise funds for their organization. A full list of the organizations can be found here: www.broomfieldfoundation.org/events/dancing-with-the-broomfield-stars/vote. There is also a “sneak peek” of the event available here: https://vimeo.com/328558018/bf96ac3365

Bellas and her instructor/dance partner, Justin Carter from Fred Astaire Dance Studio, will perform a swing dance that they hope will earn the votes and contributions from the evening’s guests. “I have never competitively danced so being asked to participate was definitely a ‘leap’ of faith,” said Bellas, who has thirty years of experience in mental health treatment and training/teaching. “However, I truly love working in the Broomfield community and believe that MHP is making a difference to those who seek out our services for mental health and addiction recovery. Because of this, I am proud to represent MHP in this event! Justin [Carter] and I are practicing hard, as we know the competition is steep from dancers with other non-profits. We need our MHP friends to vote early and vote often.” The Star who raises the most money wins. The public can vote for the Mental Health Partners team by visiting: https://one.bidpal.net/dwtbs/custom/custom7. Over 1,000 people are expected to attend the event, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy delicious food and craft brews served from a variety of local restaurants and breweries.
